IDENTITY
What's in a name?
My name, David Lewis Brand, isn't just a label I carry. It's the encapsulation of what I stand for, do and say.
David - a beloved child of God
Lewis - a warrior for social justice
Brand - powered by an unquenchable fire that burns brightly in my heart
PURPOSE
Our stories matter
My passion is not just for every person to have the opportunity to explore, develop and express-to-the-full the unique, bespoke individual they've been created to be, but to be actively celebrated and championed to do so. For me, this is the definition of social justice.
Throughout the adventure of my life I've been inspired by countless stories of men and women who've fought for social justice; people who've been prepared to suffer for their cause and have refused to let others stop them - or anyone else - from living their lives as fully as possible.
It's impossible to quantify how important the testimonies of these often ordinary-looking people have been to me on my own journey of fighting and suffering. They've shaped my perspective, sharpened my purpose and fuelled the fire that drives me today.
RESPONSIBILITY

Life gets challenging for everyone at times; there's no avoiding that uncomfortable truth. But to be passionate about a cause means, by definition, to be willing to suffer for it.
The deeper your understanding of who you are, the better equipped you'll be to live out your purpose as fully as possible, whatever circumstances you face.
My responsibility is to now pass a baton-of-inspiration onto others, just like so many people have done for me. By sharing stories from my adventure through life and some of the extraordinary people I've been privileged to meet along the way, I hope to empower you to live your own life to the full.
